Recently renovated traditional stone cottage full of charm not far from The Skye Bridge. Sleeping up to six people in style and comfort in three bedrooms, this is a superb base for exploring the magical Isle of Skye, with so many things to see and do.

Breakish Cottage is a stylish holiday house with many traditional features such as the low exposed beam ceilings, vaulted ceiling living room and exposed stonework on the master bedroom proudly on display. It’s a really comfy too with state of the art facilities including a superb and well equipped self-catering kitchen. There’s a good selection of cooking utensils and upmarket crockery.
Sleeping up to six guests in two stylish double bedrooms and one twin room, there’s plenty of space. The furnishings and décor are superb throughout and the owners clearly have a flare for interiors. The cottage is really well equipped and is nice blend between the traditional and contemporary.

The lounge with its vaulted ceiling, Sky TV (and Netflix) is a great place to relax on the comfy sofas. Beyond the patio doors there are stunning views across the water looking out to the Isle of Pabay. There’s also good Wi-Fi throughout the cottage, a real bonus.

The ground floor has the master en-suite double bedroom and incredible walk in rain shower. This bedroom with a feature stone wall and high-end décor is fab. The bed is super comfy too. Upstairs there’ a good-sized twin bedroom and the other large double bedroom. We loved the decor and furnishings. There’s a contemporary bathroom with contemporary rain shower too.
Outside the lounge patio doors, there’s a nice area with table and bench for enjoying breakfast or even a sunset across the water. It’s easy to get to on good roads, only a short journey from the Skye Bridge, you can easily access many of the top attractions and activities on Skye from the cottage.
Breakish Cottage is stylish and sympathetic renovation of a traditional croft and is now a superb holiday house. Sleeping six in comfort, this is a fabulous base for a holiday on Skye. Ideal for couples, families, walkers and climbers.
Perfect Days
Enjoy a day’s walking. There are loads of suggestions in the folder in the cottage. Favourites of ours include a walk up Glen Tilt, one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland and accessible only on foot. Or how about an ascent of Schiehallion (1083m), with breathtaking views across the wilds of Rannoch Moor?
Enjoy lunch or dinner at the Eilean Iarmain Hotel, 20-minute drive from the house. Full of rustic charm with a superb range of seafood, real ales, whisky and craft gins. Or closer to the house is the popular Red Skye Restaurant
This central location offers superb access for experienced hillwalkers to the challenging Cuillin ridge and Red Cuillins, as well as number of classic Munros just over the Skye Bridge on the mainland.
Go and explore the Old Mann of Storr or The Prison and Needle at the magical Quirang; Strange rock formations carved out of the mountainside and incredible views.
Buy some local seafood and enjoy lunch on the patio with a glass of white wine
Enjoy some fine dining at one of acclaimed restaurants in Skye, The Three Chimneys, Kinloch Lodge or Duisdale Hotel.
Explore Portree, the capital of Skye, good shopping, a number of galleries and boat trips too!
Take a road trip around Skye. sample a whisky distillery tour, visit the famous Fairy Pools, Fairy Glen, or The Old Man of Storr or lonely Neist Point lighthouse, the most westerly point of Skye.
Discover Armadale Castle and Gardens. These delightful gardens are set in the gulfstream and have some really nice walks
Jump on board a ferry over the nearby island of Raasay, a very special place with its own unique atmosphere
