Curved Stone House and the neighbouring Treetop House are a pair of 5-star luxury holiday houses with exceptional design and breath-taking views. Although the. two properties are adjacent to they are cleverly designed and are clearly separate and enjoy privacy.
With architect designed luxury, offering a fantastic combination of stone, turf and grass, the Curved Stone House is a very special place to stay. The owners clearly have a passion for design and it shows in all aspects of the Stonehouses. From the construction and choice of natural materials to the superior interiors, their attention to detail is clear.

State-of-the-art facilities

The large open-plan kitchen/dining and living areas create a spacious, contemporary feel, with incredible views from the floor to ceiling windows over Loch Broom and the dramatic Highland scenery. The house boasts state-of-the-art facilities with underfloor heating and a stylish woodburner.

The spacious double bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a luxurious, free-standing bath, while the second bedroom, which can be made up as a twin or double, has its own shower/WC and direct access to a large family bathroom.

The kitchen is very well-equipped with hob, oven and microwave and a dishwasher, ideal for cooking up a delicious meal of some local fresh seafood.

Sauna with a view!

One of the highlights of our stay was the sauna, just the place to relax after a day out exploring or hillwalking and benefits from fantastic views. Solar power heats the hot water, while an LPG backup ensures there’s always enough water for an indulgent soak in the amazing bathtub.

This unique house enjoys a rural feel with incredible mountain and loch views and yet is only a ten-minute walk from the bustling village of Ullapool and its traditional pubs, seafood restaurants and shops.

Perfect Days

The Curved Stonehouse is a fabulous base for exploring the many attractions in North West Highlands, from hillwalking and boat trips to exploring the magnificent beaches and coastline

Hike up the Ullapool Hill Path. The house has its own private access, via a gate in the wooded area at the rear. Two hours to follow this easy path 300 metres to the top and wow, what a view!

Go for lunch in Ullapool. Try the Seafood Shack, enjoy fish and chips at the pier or eat at one of the hotels, there’s plenty of choice.

Ullapool is famed for its music, arts and culture, and an institution you cannot miss is the Ceilidh Place. Ideal for dinner, or just for coffee and cake, it has a magical little bookshop too and regularly hosts great events and live music.

Enjoy some golf, there is an interesting nine-hole course on the shores of Loch Broom, with hire facilities available from Ullapool Golf Club.

Get your boots on and go walking amongst the dramatic local peaks, nearby Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mor or Suilven – all offer fantastic hillwalking opportunities.

Take a road trip to Achiltibuie through some of the most specular scenery in the Highlands. Enjoy a seafood platter for lunch in the Summer Isles Hotel.

In summer, boat trips around the Summer Isles leave from nearby Old Dornie Harbour.Look out for dolphins and seals.

Explore the sands of Achnahaird Beach. It offers wonderful paddling, swimming, canoeing and views to the dramatic peaks of Cul Beag, Cul Mor, Stac Pollaidh and Suilven.
