Greengairs Highland Bothies are a pair of brand new, uber cool luxury cabins (named Edradour and Fettercairn) set amongst spectacular highland scenery near Blairgowrie. With wood fired hot tubs and striking panoramic views they offer luxurious accommodation for couples and families.

The bothies sleep up to four, with one bedroom and a sofa bed. Dogs are welcome in one of the bothies too, which is a bonus.
Clad in locally sourced Dunkeld larchwood, these cabins are clearly a labour of love. These beautifully designed and stylish contemporary bothies set in a stunning rural location on a hill farm are the perfect place to relax.
The friendly owners have gone the extra mile and offer an exceptional experience. Each bothy has been carefully designed and built by the owners, a family of architects and joiners; they are unique, with great attention to detail. The bothies have strong environmental credentials and ethos too. With air source heating, high insulation values, bore hole sourced mineral water, and eco composite decking manufactured from recycled plastic.

The bothies offer a sublime experience. You can enjoy dining outside on your own private decking with twinkling lights and a cosy heater. Each bothy comes with its own, chemical free, Swedish Skarguard wood fired hot tub filled with mineral water sourced from beneath your feet.

Inside the high end luxury experience continues with tasteful décor and quality furnishings. The lounge area boasts a sumptuous leather and tweed couch and a cosy woodburner. Just the place to relax with a dram after a day out exploring this delightful part of the Highlands. The cabins offer all the usual mod cons including a smart TV and 4G WIFI. There’s also a tasty welcome pack with locally sourced goodies to enjoy.
Not only are the bothies well designed and look fabulous, but they offer superb facilities too with a high end self-catering kitchen complete with a wine cooler, dish washer, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer.

In terms of sleeping, there’s a super comfy king-size bed, with crisp white linen, and contemporary soft furnishings. Next to this is the spacious contemporary and stylish bathroom, with walk in shower. The sofa bed sleeps another two guests as required.
Set on a hill farm overlooking the Strathmore Valley, the bothies are well located for a wealth of activities and attractions. Situated on the Cateran trail, a 64mile circular walk through spectacular Scottish countryside, its also a superb base for walking, cycling, fishing cycling and golf.

Perfect Days
If you like walking, the hills of Glenshee are not far away, with some superb hillwalks. In winter when the conditions are right, skiing and boarding can be excellent too.
Get your boots on, walk a section of Cateran Trail. A circular 65-mile route that borders Perthshire and Angus, including secluded Strathardle and parts of Glenshee and Glen Isla
Discover Blair Castle. Its well worth exploring, with 700 years of Scottish history to its name, and over 30 rooms on display. The spectacular gardens alone are worth the trip.
Visit Dundee. Explore the award-winning V & A Dundee design museum or Captain Scott’s famous Antarctic expedition ship at Discovery Point Visitor Centre.
Take in a whisky distillery tour at the famous Eradour Distillery, the smallest in Scotland, or enjoy some shopping in Pitlochry
Enjoy a day fishing on one of the local rivers. The nearby river Ericht is famous for its salmon and is popular with anglers; the spectacular Tay is not far away, permits and advice are close at hand.
Buy some local produce and enjoy lunch on the terrace with a glass of something nice and take in the views and tranquility.
Try a few rounds at the one of local golf courses: Blairgowrie, Strathmore, Alyth or Glenisla.
In the summer, why not spend the afternoon picking your own raspberries? The local area has been the berry producing capital of Scotland for many years and produce the world’s finest soft fruits.
