Loch Lomond Waterfront Lodge
Luxury two bedroom wooden lodge with hot tub in naturally landscaped grounds close to Loch Lomond surrounded by incredible scenery.
Loch views and hot tub
We stayed in Drumlanrig Chalet which comes complete with loch views, four poster bed, hot tub on the deck and a range of showering and bathing facilities to cover your needs. The lodge had great facilities throughout and is a fab place to relax and unwind with your other half.
Warm Welcome – from booking, through pre-arrival emails, clear location instructions and a great welcome received when we got there, to the minimal fuss check in, we were in before we knew it, bags were unpacked and our ‘new home’ was born.
Eco Friendly – we stayed in a single story, wooden chalet with a sedum roof. It was well insulated and contained clear instructions on recycling and equipment use. There were several species of birds to watch, and some rather friendly ducks wandering around!
Massive 4 poster bed
Sweet Dreams – I think we stayed in the honeymoon chalet as we had a massive 4 poster bed, with plenty of soft bedding, very comfortable indeed. Both bedrooms were en-suite and both had showers and baths. A third bathroom boasted an amazing shower – we happily showered to music, under funky lights with jets from all directions – as well as a steam facility (basically a hammam without the pummelling!)
Time to Relax – the chalet had comfortable seating, space to chill and a living flame gas fire. Ideal for reading (possibly being distracted by local wildlife), excellent entertainment system (easy enough to join via Bluetooth) and massive TV.
Views of Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills
Wedding Venue – there are also function rooms within the reception complex and a loch side area for weddings for anyone wishing to tie the knot with views of Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills. The lodges would provide ideal guest accommodation, including a honeymoon chalet for the bride and groom.
Escape for couples
The lodge offers luxury facilities and a great location on iconic loch lomondside. Its fabulous escape for couples looking for a romantic escape.
Perfect Days
The Lodge is conveniently located for loads of activities – situated in the beautiful natural landscapes of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, very close to the village of Balmaha, only a stone’s throw from the West Highland Way.
Head up the path in Balmaha to the fantastic Conic Hill. With its sublime views over Loch Lomond and its cluster of small islands.
Go for lunch or enjoy some great local Beers in the Oak Tree Inn. You can also take in the iconic Tom Weir statue.
For hillwalkers, Ben Lomond (974 metres) , Scotland’s most southerly Munro offers a fantastic day on the mountains. You could also enjoy a low-level walk on the West Highland Way.
Take a boat trip on Loch Lomond or take the post boat from Balmaha to explore Inchcailloch Island, a place of outstanding beauty with arguably the finest views of Loch Lomond
Rent bikes and explore the east side of Loch Lomond, Cycle hire is available in nearby Drymen
The Lodge is great for Entertaining – the well-equipped kitchen coupled with a spacious dining area and quality tableware (including crystal glasses) made it enjoyable to entertain away from home. A walk by the loch, leisurely meal followed by a hot tub made it a memorable day for our lunch guests.
