Luxury holiday house is ideal for family holidays

Rated 5 stars by VisitScotland this is a large airy house with plenty of space. Contemporary in style, it’s been carefully designed to accommodate groups or extended family gatherings and has a range of communal areas for entertaining and relaxing.

Guests love the welcome pack too, especially the delicious scones from the local tea room, and home-made jam.

It boasts a large well-equipped kitchen/diner, sunroom, cosy TV room with wood burning stove and a 5.1 cinema surround sound system, and a glazed first floor gallery with views of the famous loch. The hub and highlight of the house is the central hall, with a full size snooker table.

The interiors are superb throughout this comfortable and well thought out house. Ideally suited for two families sharing or one larger family gathering.
Sealladh-an-Loch sleeps up to 12 adults in 3 double and 3 twin bedrooms. One of the twin rooms is on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room, suitable for those with mobility issues. This is a big plus for those planning an inter-generational gathering. There’s also a cot available for babies.

The house boasts a fabulous snooker hall

A ground source heat pump provides underfloor heating and loads of hot water so the house is always warm and cosy.
The first floor gallery overlooks the fabulous snooker hall, and also benefits from the glazed frontage, vaulted ceiling, chandelier and double staircase. It’s been carefully designed as a sitting area to maximise the views over Loch Ness. Just the place to relax with glass in hand and watch the sunset.

A well-equipped, contemporary and stylish kitchen diner with granite worktops, makes catering for yourselves easy. With a 6-hob, double-oven range cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer, separate wine fridge and dishwasher.

A Zip Tap provides instant boiling and chilled water, a really handy feature. The kitchen also offers a good selection of Denby crockery and utensils, important if you’re in a big group. There’s a lovely big solid oak dining table so cooking becomes a very sociable affair.

Adjacent to the kitchen is the utility room, with practical equipment such as a washer-dryer, ironing board, iron, clothes airers, here you will also find a highchair and stair-gates for the wee people!

The double bedrooms, all have double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets in oak, and an en-suite WC and shower. The large twin room has two single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. While the smaller twin room has two single beds, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The ground floor twin room, which can be used to accommodate less mobile guests has two single beds, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, dressing table, and an en-suite WC and shower.

Large garden area and stunning loch views.

It’s a fabulous house inside and out with large garden area and loch views. Direct access to the outside space is provided by a first floor balcony a front decking area accessed from the snooker hall, and a large patio at the rear of the house with stunning loch views for barbecues with a path up to a viewing point and bench at the rear of the property.

The location is wonderful, a real feeling of getting away from it and yet the village of Foyers is within easy reach, with a small village shop, post office & cafe, a pub and of course the beautiful ‘Falls of Foyers. This is the quieter and in our view nicer side of Loch Ness, far from the tourist buses and day trippers. There are several way-marked local woodland walks around the house, and wildlife including deer, red squirrels, pine martens and birds of prey can be spotted. You can reach the shores of Loch Ness by walking down through the forest across the road.

Perfect Days

Go for a walk from the house, or try the walks around Lower Foyers, which take you through the graveyard and onto the shores of Loch Ness. Maps available in the house. The Falls of Foyers are well worth a visit, especially early in the morning before most visitors arrive.

Spend the day relaxing in the gardens or down by the Loch? There’s an array of wildlife locally including deer, red squirrels, pine martens and birds of prey

Enjoy lunch in the Inn at Dores. A lovely traditional family-run pub and restaurant with outdoor tables, fab views and a good range of dishes and beers

Explore the busy village of Fort Augustus, enjoy a Canalside walk and watch the boats pass through the impressive flight of locks. Take a boat trip on Loch Ness and go ‘Nessie spotting’,
Take a drive along the northern shoreline of Loch Ness to the historic ruins of Urquhart Castle, one of the finest castles in Scotland.

Go for a day trip and enjoy a tasty seafood lunch in Fort William at the Lochside Crannog Restaurant, or take a ride up the Nevis Range Gondola to soak up the mountain views.

Visit the capital of The Highlands Inverness. Go shopping in the Victorian Market, visit the cathedral, or Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.

Take a trip to Culloden Battlefield and visitor Centre, just outside Inverness a haunting and impressive place.

How about a day trip to the magical Isle of Skye, through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Highlands, including the iconic Eilean Donan Castle? Or visit Glen Affric, arguably Scotland’s most beautiful glen.
