A luxurious cottage for two in the quaint market town of Crieff, Wee Gwydyr House is perfect for a deluxe stay amongst wonderful scenery, while still being able to kick back in your PJ’s and unwind.

Attached to the rear of the historic Gwydyr House this small but lavish cottage sleeps two in style and was originally the servant’s quarters for the main house. The building has been extensively refurbished giving a feel of real grandeur with a beautifully light and opulent bathroom and a resplendent yet relaxed living room which manages to keep a sense of homeliness and comfort in tandem with the stylish marble tables and velvet sofas.
On approach to your romantic getaway, you can’t help but be mesmerized by the backdrop of the stunning hills and views towards the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Laidback luxury with the soul and character of a wee cottage
As you open the door into this charming wee house you are greeted by an elegant but functional contemporary kitchen kitted out with everything you might need. There is also a conveniently placed WC next to the stairs which leads you up to the main area of the house where you will find the cosy living room which with beautifully designed interior and a lowish ceiling creates the impression of your own little den where you and your partner can sit back with a glass of wine and watch whatever you want from an endless selection of films and TV shows on Amazon, Netflix and Sky.
Opposite the living room is a huge bathroom where the sauna is located, to the left of this is the bedroom complete with a stylish ensuite.
To the back of the property, you can climb up the steps to the private enclosed garden which has a seating and outdoor dining area complete with a BBQ, perfect for the summer months where you can enjoy a glass of something bubbly in hand while soaking up the sun.

However, the undisputed highlight is the stunning master bathroom, which features a gigantic roll top bath, rain shower and best of all, an infrared sauna; meaning even the notorious Scottish weather can’t put you off finding out what the local area has to offer.
After exploring the delightful high street or a day out visiting the local attractions, fishing, golf, walking the local hills, the sauna offers you a chance to sit and chill, soaking up the warmth while playing your special playlist through the saunas amazing Bluetooth speakers.
Set in such gorgeous surroundings the opportunity to sample the Scottish outdoors is limitless, from your doorstep you can easily access the Knock of Crieff which after a short climb provides stunning views over the whole area. Another great stroll is the picturesque Lady Mary’s walk accessed from Macrosty Park, just across the road from the house. Alternatively, a visit to Crieff Hydro and its adult only Victorian spa, which is a quick ten-minute walk, really sets the tone for an idyllic time away.

Not only is the house well designed but it contains anything you might need for your stay with high end self-catering facilities including a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, induction hob and microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine.
The owners personal touch and passion for the area really shines through with a chance to sample a local dram of Glenturret Whisky which is provided along with a tasty welcome hamper.
The perfect place for a romantic getaway for two is only heightened by the spacious and contemporary bedroom with softened lighting and subtle tones creating a peaceful ambience which is completed with a king-sized bed comfy enough to live in and a large en-suite bathroom with a superb rain shower.

Perfect Days
Explore this lovely market town, it boasts a surprisingly good choice of shops, galleries, cafés, coffee shops, restaurants for fine or casual dining.
Take a trip to the nearby Drummond Castle gardens, stunning formal parterre gardens, featuring in Outlander, they are unlike anything else in Scotland and well worth a visit.
Enjoy a tour and sample a dram at The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery
Go for a walk: plenty of good local walks including the popular Lady Mary’s walk by the River Earn. and loads of hills and even a few Munros nearby Ben Chonzie (931m) if that’s your thing.
Explore The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and take in the stunning landscapes. Discover St Fillans, Comrie, and Loch Earn or even over to Killin and the famous Falls of Dochart.
Go for a drive and visit Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, a fantastic hilltop visitor attraction with over 50 species of animals and a fab wee cafe.
Get on your bike, you can hire mountain bikes at Comrie Croft and try some of their single track trails set amongst breathtaking scenery
Just chill out in the cottage, indulgence is the name of the game, roll top bath, sauna, a good book or catch up on some films.
