Luxurious Contemporary Lodges
We stayed in The Weir Lodges, which are ideal for two. They combine contemporary living with style and comfort, the perfect place to relax for a few days. There’s an award-winning spa on site too if you want to really spoil yourself.
The resort offers a range of self-catering lodges available too including 4, 6 and 10 bedded luxury options. Designed by award winning architects Hamson Barron Smith they bring strong environmental credentials and innovative design ideas to the accommodation offering.
Wood Fired Hot Tubs and Luxurious Open-Plan Living
Based on the concept of the Scottish Longhouses the super stylish interiors are luxurious with a striking design. The lodge sleeps up to three (suitable for a small child using the sofa bed) but it’s really a special place for two, with hot tub, huge super king bed, high end bathroom with state-of-the-art walk-in rain shower, fluffy robes and sumptuous bath. Ideal for a romantic runaway.
This uber stylish studio style accommodation has a compact but exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and dining table with everything you need to cook up a tasty meal, induction hob, oven, fridge dishwasher and microwave. There’s a generous welcome pack with lots of Scottish goodies and chilled bottle of fizz in the fridge (along with milk too). Get some fresh local seafood to enjoy back at the lodge.
Uber Stylish Studio Style Accommodation
The cosy lounge with full height sliding doors opens out onto a veranda area, complete with wood fired hot tub and great countryside views. Just the place to relax with a glass in hand, enjoy some food or watch the sun go down. The stargazing on a clear night is superb too, even better when sitting in the hot tub.
The lounge area has a large flat-screen TV and access to the usual streaming services including Netflix and Amazon. The super king bed is really comfy too with white crisp linen. The large bathroom has a sublime walk-in rain shower, luxury bath and sea kelp luxury soaps, while the cosy bathrobes complete the 5-star feel.
The lodge is warm and cosy even on a winter’s evening, with an air source heat pump and triple glazed windows.
Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and Gym
Shared on-site facilities include access an excellent Leisure Club which hosts a 14-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a gym. There’s also a luxury spa and delightful Orangery café/bar with a good selection of food and drinks including local craft gins available.
There are larger lodges available which are ideal for families and groups. The children’s Play Barn is bound to keep the wee ones entertained. Although there are nine lodges on the site, its low density and they are cleverly situated so you never feel that it’s too busy or that other guests are intruding on your space.
Breath-Taking Coastal Scenery
Whitekirk Hill sits amongst wonderful countryside with the delightful coastal town of North Berwick only 10 minutes’ drive away. The area boasts some of Scotland’s finest beaches such as Seacliff and Yellowcraigs. There are some great day trips too including boat trips to the Bass Rock, The Scottish Seabird Centre and the stunning Tantallon Castle. Edinburgh with all its attractions is only 30 minutes away by train.

Perfect Days
Head for the local beaches. Seacliff and Yellowcraigs have fantastic sandy beaches and great rock pools too. Perfect for swimming and picnics in the summer months.
Go for a wander around North Berwick, with loads of independent shops, cafes and restaurants on the High Street its great afternoon out. The local Butcher does amazing sausages and pies.
The award -winning Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick is well worth a visit. try the whitebait in its superb café. Take a boat trip from the harbour (April–Sept) on the ‘Sula II’ to see the gannets on the Bass Rock. In early summer, you can also go puffin spotting.
Enjoy a lazy breakfast or lunch in the Orangery on site or head into North Berwick and try one of the many popular eateries. On the outskirts, Drift clifftop Café is fab and while the Puffin in town does legendary fish and chips.
Visit the local castles: 400-year-old Dirleton, with fabulous gardens, or cliff-top Tantallon, with spectacular coastal views.
Take a trip to the nearby Museum of Flight. You can explore Concorde and discover its epic journey to East Fortune over the fields – a great day out!
